In Latin, “Magis” means “better” or “seeker of better”, and “Mundi” means “the world” or “a bigger plane of knowledge”. Global travel leader Booking Holdings is partnering with the Social Incubator to help job seekers build their technical knowledge for a new career journey.
The Magis Mundi program offers training and preparation for a rewarding career shift, and a world of new professional experience.
The seekers we seek…
The program will support participants in the Bucharest area who meet the following criteria.
Mid-life professionals who want to build on their existing skills to find exciting new jobs in the technological sector.
Early career professional women interested in developing skills and making great contributions in tech areas that have historically been male-dominated.
ABOUT MAGIS MUNDI
Magis Mundi was born out of the desire and will of Booking Holdings to give back to the community through career upskilling. The program addresses segments of the workforce that have been historically challenged, through training on industry-relevant technical skills, and enables participants to better integrate in today’s technology market.
The goal of the project is to empower the individuals that participate to get hired in domain areas that match, or are similar to, the topics covered by the program.
In its first year serving the underserved career transition community in Bucharest, the 2023 Magis Mundi program will be a one week program in September, with two professional tracks (one for mid-life professionals and one for early career professional women).
Career Switch to Data Privacy
Data Privacy is one of the fastest growing global career areas. It is an area of expertise that can be quickly grasped and can lead to a long-term career path. This one week program will provide an overview of this professional arena, and introduce core foundational skills needed to make a job switch into this specialty for mid-life professionals.
Cybersecurity Operations for Women
The aim of this program is to help close the gender gap in the cybersecurity field and empower women professionals to start down this professional path, with introductions to Cybersecurity operations, and essential skills training to enter this career area, plus mentoring from women in the industry.
Both week-long programs will include soft skills modules focusing on:
Professional CV building
How to create your LinkedIn profile
Preparing for an interview (interview mock-up)
Presentation skills development
All trainers will be experts from within Booking Holdings and The Social Incubator Association.
